About me...
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in private practice in New York City. My training includes Brown University, New York University, and the Ackerman Institute for the Family. I have significant experience working with families, couples and children in an outpatient clinical setting. I have also worked with people in hospice, as well as persons with cancer and other life-threatening medical conditions.
Based on the successes I have personally witnessed, I take an optimistic approach to the difficulties people bring to me. Depending on your particular situation, I utilize different aspects of narrative, relational/systemic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approaches to therapy. This allows me to apply the most effective techniques without being restrained by a particular psychological theory or approach. Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in the real estate and finance industry here in New York City. |
